‘Tis The Season At Pine Canyon

We know you’re thinking about snow. About being cold, bundling up, sitting by a fire, watching steam float off the top of a hot cup of coffee.

We know it’s on your mind. And we know because it’s on everyone’s mind. It’s just that season, when boots come out of hibernation, the sun sets before dinner and the heat kicks on to warm the cold evenings.

We actually love this time of year. While Valley-dwellers often bask in our refreshing temperatures during the summer, they also seek us out for snow play in the winter. Either way, you’re welcome to visit.

When you do, we’ll reserve a luxury cabin for you. We’ll schedule spa services, arrange for a private wine tasting, and set you up with dinner at the Pine Canyon club or at your cabin. We call the whole experience a Discovery Visit because it allows you to see what Pine Canyon and Flagstaff are all about.

To feel our winter, you’ll be able to downhill ski or snowboard at Arizona Snowbowl, or cross country ski and snowshoe across 25 miles of trails at Flagstaff Nordic Center. If you want to practice your triple Lutz, Jay Lively Activity Center is a great spot for ice skating, but if you want to watch others skate, you could take in a hockey game at Northern Arizona University.

Maybe you’d like to feel the crisp air at a higher speed? Explore trails through the Coconino National Forest aboard a snowmobile, or grab a sled and barrel down a hill at Wing Mountain Snow Play Area.

And, if you’re curious about what to pack, check the live webcam on our site. That mysterious white stuff on the ground is called snow.
