As we open a new chapter for 2019, it’s a good time to look back on 2018. And what a great read that book will be, especially at Pine Canyon, where an exciting year of social festivities, home sales, and philanthropy events filled the calendar. Now, we’re looking forward to carrying that momentum through the new year.
With 46 homes currently under construction, we’re well on our way. In addition to those homes, a handful of spec homes have either broken ground or are about to, adding even more energy to our community’s growth.
That new construction also compounds the sales Pine Canyon experienced in 2018. The number of homes sold in 2018 increased to 38, up from 25 in 2017. And the community’s overall sales volume increased by 36 percent in 2018 compared to 2017, topping out at 66 transactions for more than $55 million.
It’s nice to know that so many new people are getting the chance to experience and embrace the uniqueness of Pine Canyon, and as interest and values increase individually, so too does the value of the overall community.
Resales homes and home sites also factor into the overall success of our community. At the moment, the average list price for a resale home in Pine Canyon is about $1.4 million, while the sales price of a home site in our community has increased by 18 percent when compared to 2017.
Of course, value is found beyond a price tag. Here, value reaches to luxury amenities, a mountain landscape set against a national forest, a sense of community among our residents and members, and an appreciation for the finer points of hospitality.
At Pine Canyon, we’re fostering a community where inspired living takes precedence. And that value, it appears, is contagious.
