Pine Canyon is excited to host the 4th annual Focus On Lyme Pro-Am Golf Tournament on September 23, 2019. It’s not just one of our favorite events each year, it’s also for a worthy philanthropic cause: raising money for Lyme disease research and helping improve the lives of those living with this disease.
Lyme disease is a bacterial infection transmitted by a tick to a human, affecting nearly 300,000 people each year in the United States, according to the CDC. Focus On Lyme was started to improve diagnostics, treatment, prevention and advocacy for patients suffering from Lyme and associated tick-borne diseases.
While they’re contributing to a great cause, players will enjoy an afternoon on Pine Canyon’s Jay Morrish-designed golf course. With its dramatic elevation changes, views of the San Francisco Mountains, and exceptionally groomed greens and fairways, it offers a fair, fun test of golf for occasional competitors as well as low-handicappers.
Registration and lunch begin at 11:30 am, and the shotgun start for the tournament is at 1:00 pm. After the last putt drops in the cup, an awards dinner with live music and a cash bar will run from 5:30–7:00 pm.
